The first trailer for the Stan Original Series Prosper is here, introducing us to a sinister megachurch.

After the series was announced, Roxburgh told Mamamia via a statement that he was excited to take on the role of the complicated church leader.

“Cal Quinn is an irresistible character,” he said. “He’s a luminous and powerful figure, yet plagued with doubt and secrets. I can’t wait to jump into this with the cast and bring it all to life.”

The ensemble cast is rounded out by Ewen Leslie (Bali 2002), Ming-Zhu Hii (La Brea), Jacob Collins-Levy (The Witcher: Blood Origin), Hayley McCarthy (The Originals), Jordi Webber (Nomad), Jacek Koman (Moulin Rouge!), Andrea Solonge (Class of ’07), Brigid Zengeni (The Secret She Keeps), Alex Fitzalan (The Wilds) and Alexander D’Souza making his acting debut.

The drama is created by Matt Cameron (Secret City) and Jason Stephens (Upright) with an impressive writing team that includes Cameron, Liz Doran (Please Like Me), Louise Fox (Broadchurch), and Belinda Chayko (Stateless).

Prosper is directed by Jennifer Leacey (The Secret She Keeps) and Shaun Wilson (Romantic Getaway).

The series is a Stan commission and collaboration with Lionsgate.

Prosper is produced by Lingo Pictures, part of ITV Studios, with the project having major production investment from Screen Australia with the assistance of the NSW Government through Screen NSW, and the Made in NSW Fund.

Stan Original Series Prosper will premiere on January 18, 2024 only on Stan.
