An Oscar nominee and a White Lotus star: Where the Friday Night Lights cast are now.

There are six words that can bring any Friday Night Lights fan to their knees: Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose.

If you know, you know.

The teen series has steadily grown a cult following over the 17 years since it first made its debut. Adapted from a 1990 nonfiction book by H. G. Bissinger, which was first adapted into the 2004 film of the same name, the TV series could have been a huge flop.

But oh boy, it was something special. The teen drama. The romance. The competitions. The emotions. The camaraderie. The team spirit. Friday Night Lights had it all.

The series aired from 2006 to 2011, launching the careers of Minka Kelly, Jesse Plemons, Taylor Kitsch, and Michael B. Jordan.

Years on, series star Zach Gilford has launched a podcast, It’s Not Only Football, where he looks back at the seminal series and interviews some of the former cast members.
